Mission
We are Half the Church — a phrase drawn from author Carolyn Custis James — a coalition of Christian leaders spanning pastors, lay leaders, church planters, historians, poets, journalists, and everyone in between, united by a shared longing to see the American church truly empower its whole body, not just half of it. HTC believes lasting change requires work on two fronts: culture and strategy. Culture means shifting the unspoken assumptions about who's suited to lead. Strategy means building the concrete systems — hiring, mentorship, succession, leadership pipleine, and church-planting pathways — that make that shift durable.

WHO IS THIS MINISTRY / SPACE FOR?
BOTH men and women who want to take unity, empowerment, and scripture so seriously that we don’t just look to one part of the church to lead, create, pastor, build, and resource but the WHOLE church - which includes women.
Statistically, women are less likely to be resourced, hired, supported, funded, and encouraged as they pursue ministry, especially if it’s leadership based, and we want to help not just fill that gap with resources but also help the church’s heart shift towards understanding the idea of Image Dei in a more profound and Christ-centered way.
