2027 Gathering
Meet us on May 21-22, 2027
at 543 Main Street NY, NY 10044 (on Roosevelt Island)
Half the Church is a coalition of Christian leaders working to change both what the church believes about who can lead and how it actually raises, hires, and sends leaders, so that the whole body is finally empowered, not just half
who is this gathering for?
who is this gathering for?
Men and women who believe the whole church is meant to lead.
Half the Church is built on mutuality. Lasting change doesn’t come from challenging men alone, and it doesn’t come from resourcing women alone. It comes when men and women work side by side, with equal weight and shared purpose, to empower and resource churches for the sake of women.
This space is for anyone who takes unity, empowerment, and Scripture seriously enough that we can’t look to one part of the body to lead, create, pastor, build, and resource. The whole church includes women, and we want to see the whole church put to work.
Women are less likely to be resourced, hired, supported, funded, and encouraged as they pursue ministry, especially in leadership. We want to help close that gap with real resources. But we also want something deeper: a shift in the church’s heart, toward a more profound and Christ-centered understanding of the imago Dei, the truth that men and women leading together bear the image of God.
JESUS IS FOR MUTUALITY. WE SHOULD BE TOO.
JESUS IS FOR MUTUALITY. WE SHOULD BE TOO.
